What a terrific find!

Here is a terrific find that a collector in California recently acquired. It appears to be an applied top pint, and so far, impossible to tell if it is embossed. What really makes this interesting is the label. It is amazing that it has survived. Since the label was applied to the wicker, one can assume that it was bottled, and sold this way, and not some "crafter" covering it with wicker decades later. I did not know that Western whiskey merchants actually sold their bourbon this way. This looks like proof that they did!
